How can you help?
The main focus of Hands Together is to join hands and work together in order to create awareness about the work of Hands on Africa, to inspire others to become involved. It is not about how much one person can do, but more about how much we can do together.

Inspire others to generate funds for Hands on Africa by joining the iGive and AmazonSmile program.
Become a Hands Together leader by inviting groups of friends on a regular basis for a game night, movie night, craft evening, etc. where you can share about the work of Hands on Africa by showing a short video, etc. For example: We currently have a sewing group in Beloit, Wisconsin—this group collects fabric and then sew clothing and other projects for the orphanages in Africa. We have another sewing group starting in Louisville, Kentucky. There's a musician who is working on putting a worship evening together in Chicago as a fundraising event. These people are using what they have, where they are to contribute to the ministry in Africa.

* Penny Drive - Ask your child and his or her friends to collect their spare change for a good cause. Or, you can take this fundraising idea a step further, and ask a local merchant to place a donation box beside its cash register to encourage customers to donate their spare change.
* Special Events – Birthdays and Graduations are all occasions to celebrate. Why not suggest that your family and friends support you on these special days by making a donation to Hands on Africa?

What is a Hands Together Leader?

They are leaders who have a strong desire to make the world a better place and a deep interest in connecting people with their values. They are big picture visionaries and mission-focused strategists. They seldom look for a job. They seek a cause. They are devoted to their organizations and go beyond the call of duty to safeguard their missions. Hands Together leaders serve by example, motivate others to action, exercise influence and attract followers to their organizations' missions. Their focus is less on themselves and more on others.
